How to use the questionnaire
- The organizer shares this page with the group before or right after the draw.
- Each person fills in their answers and presses Copy answers.
- They paste the answers into the group chat, a shared document, or send them to the organizer, who forwards each one to that person's Secret Santa.
Want to collect answers on paper instead? Press Print with the fields empty for a blank form, or Copy blank questions to paste the list into an email or a shared document.
Why a questionnaire helps
Most Secret Santa groups mix close friends with people who barely know each other, such as new colleagues or a partner's relatives. A short list of likes, dislikes and allergies turns a guess into a thoughtful gift and avoids presents that end up unused. The âplease do not get meâ question is often the most useful one: it heads off duplicates and gifts someone can't use.
Keep answers short and concrete. âDark chocolate, no nutsâ helps more than âI like sweetsâ. If your group has a budget, the person filling in the questionnaire can mention a few ideas that fit it.
Questions for work gift exchanges
For office groups, skip clothing sizes and personal questions. Favorite snacks, drinks, desk items, hobbies and things to avoid are usually enough, and people can leave any field empty.
Questions
What questions should be on a Secret Santa questionnaire?
Ask about favorite colors, snacks, drinks, hobbies, scents, sizes if clothing is allowed, allergies, a short wish list and things the person does not want. This page includes all of these.
Is my answer saved on the site?
No. The answers stay in your browser tab. Copy them or print them before closing the page.
Can I make a printable questionnaire?
Yes. Press Print to print the page; empty fields print as a blank form people can fill in by hand.
How do the answers reach my Secret Santa?
This page does not send anything. Share your copied answers in the group chat, or send them to the organizer to pass on to your Secret Santa.
Should the questionnaire be anonymous?
Answers usually include the person's name so their Secret Santa knows whose list it is. The anonymous part is who is giving the gift, not who receives it.
